Why I Started Researching Appliances
A few months ago my parent's anniversary came and went as usual. I’ve always been telling myself I’m going to get them something big and useful for the whole family. Unfortunately, I’m a part time student and I only earn a meager living while I work toward being a high school history teacher and I can’t afford anything big.
I was fantasizing about what I would buy if I could buy it, and I thought I would buy a washer, dryer, and refrigerator. Our refrigerator is falling apart; the freezer goes out every so often so we can’t store anything frozen.
The washer and dryer are just as bad. We can’t wash our whites because the compartment you put bleach in is broken which means my mother has to go to the launder mat to wash her whites. The cycle knob fell off so we have to use a wrench to set the cycle. The dryer will only stay on for 15 minutes, 20 minutes if you’re lucky, which means you have to get up several times to dry your clothes, worse yet, the dryer doesn’t get hot enough to effectively dry clothes.
I told my story to my friend Hikaru who suggested that I start blogging about it like his boss started blogging about fitness equipment. From what I hear I guess it turned out rather well for him. So, as a public service I’m going to learn and research home appliances like washers and dryers and review them here. I will use the proceeds to buy my mother a washer, dryer, and refrigerator, and maybe, just maybe, be able to quit my job and go to school full time.
Well, I have a lot of reading to do, so I’ll get to it!
